ATV/UTV Excursion

Experience the beauty and adventure of Iron County on our ATV/UTV Excursion! This guided ride will take you through scenic backcountry trails, rugged terrain, and stunning overlooks, with a lunch stop along the way. The excursion will last approximately 4 hours—be sure to check the website for the designated rendezvous location.

Drivers should be experienced and comfortable navigating rocky trail conditions. All Utah OHV laws will be strictly enforced. For additional information, please review the official Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Laws (opens in a new tab).

Event Rules & Recommendations

• All machines must be currently registered for public land use.
• Mufflers with an approved spark arrestor are required on all OHVs.
• Wearing a helmet is mandatory on public land for riders under the age of 18.
• We encourage everyone to wear a helmet. Properly worn, a helmet won’t reduce vision or hearing and helps cut out windblasts.
• We highly recommend protective gear: gloves, abrasion-resistant clothing, and over-the-ankle boots.

Rider Protocol

Anyone under 18 can operate an OHV on public land if they are able to reach and operate each control necessary to safely operate the vehicle, have an OHV education certificate or a valid Driver’s License in their possession, AND are under direct adult supervision.

Adult Supervision is Required When:

• The rider is under 18.
• The rider does not possess a valid driver’s license. (A learner's permit requires a licensed parent/guardian to be seated next to the driver.)
• Operating an OHV on a public highway that is open to motor vehicles and not exclusively reserved for OHV use.
